Rated 5 out of 5 by from was stored in a fuel jug with stabil for almost 3 years and no problems I would not say to do this and sorry to the engineers who are cringing and calling me all sorts of names in German .. but this is a testimony of quality in my opinion I made up about 2 gallons of mix ( orange can stuff ) 3 years ago when I bought my saw (Ms291 ) to do a little fenceline clearing ( 1500' x50' 3" max trees ) , and besides the sthil oil, I put in stabil just in case , I used premium BP gold 91 oct pump gas (non e-10 ) and it ran perfect out of the box had to do a little fine tuning but that was expected , after I finished the tree line I put the saw away in its box , I forgot to drain what was left of the fuel ( about 1/2 tank ) and bar oil ( almost full that made a mess in the case ) well this year I needed the saw for some storm damage ( 10-20 6-24" hardwoods ( ash , maples , oaks , walnut and pine ) , I was like oh crud old gas in the tank , and in the can , I shook the can up took a wiff and it smelled /looked good ( it was stored in a dark cool spot of the garage ) I took a chance , topped it off , choked it and gave it a few pulls and it fired right up let it warm up no problems ( I let it run for a minute so to bring any gas thru to try to melt out any varnish ) then I started cutting . we ran that can dry ( apx 1.5 gallons ) thru several other guys and me , I also used it in a old MAc SE 2016 that gave my freind nothing but running problems before he gave it to me,when he bought another saw ( not a stihl and he regrets it now ) it had his mixture still in the tank ( cheap as cheap can get mix oil and 87oct gas ) I ran his out of the machine , then I put the sthil gas mix in, ( the rest of the garbage mix was disposed of in special sort of way ) I got it started and it tried to idle ( wouldn't idle at all before ) and it started to change tone as I was cutting and ran better like it was cleaning the system , when I put the saw away for the night it was a different machine , before it would have a hard time cutting 3" limbs now it was zipping thru them and bucking 6" no problems . also the Mac motor didn't slobber as much out the muffler when it now idled ( which was thing it hardly did before ) and the smoke was almost clear ( had proper oil mixture ) . he used some cheap box store brand oil which was like glue ( looked like filtered used motor oil and gear lube ) , I put that trash to the recycling drum. . now I run the stuff in all my 2 stroke equipment ( except the lawn boy but tempted ) a little pricey , yes , but worth the cleanlyness and ease of starting .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product. Started using this oil when I bought my first stihl chainsaw in 2004 . love it ! Have never had any problems with it . where I live the synthetic oil cost about the same but I still use HP oil. See no need to change . Unless you have a 4-mix engine this oil will work great .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only 2 cycle oil I use in my chainsaws and weedeater I use Stihl Performance Oil in all my tools - 009, 044, MS 660 and FS85 Pro and I have not had any motor issues, all still have great compression with very little smoke from the exhaust. The 009 and 044 are 15 years + old and both have had 1 spark plug change in all this time.I check the plugs every month, nice brown tint indicating a good burn of the fuel and oil. I have replaced bars and chains numerous times as these saws get worked every other week but the motors run like new. Very pleased with this oil......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best and only one to use. My family has been using Stihl for years. 50 plus years. From chain saws to weed eaters and blowers. Been used on the from and job sites. Always starts. But I only of used Stihl oil's in them. Other brands have let me done several times. Plus other Brand's may cost less but you get what you pay for. I have 4 saw's one I know is very old. But one pull and it always started. The secret to all this is to use only Stihl oil's and that will last you for years to come. Personal or prefsanal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent conventional oil. I have run many a gallon of fuel with this oil. It has great lubricity. It is very clean running if the equipment is adjusted properly. And when mixed with 89 octane non ethanol gas it has a excellent storage life. Equipment has been very dependable while using Sthil HP. And the price is very reasonable, when compared to other big name brands. And this product is readly avabile in most areas. I can even purchase it at a local General Store near my home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mixing Oil I have been using this oil in my Stihl products since 1999. I have two chainsaws, two weedeaters, and a blower. Everything starts after sitting for a while. I don't use the saws but once or twice a year and don't drain the fuel and never have any issues. The first saw purchased in 99 still has never even had a carb rebuild. Keep in mind this oil has a fuel stabilizer in it when comparing prices.
